Live Forum Event – South African Youth on Development.

Featuring guest speaker Zapiro, this event will bring together your young leaders representing different sectors of development; Education, HealthCare, Human Settlements and Sports & Recreation. Join us as we engage in discussions around what it is that makes development work? What still needs to be done? And how can we as young people be involved in making things happen?

Date: Tuesday 15th May 2012

Time: 5.30pm

Venue: UCT, Upper Campus Leslie Social Building Level 1 Lecture Theatre E (NB. Please note the venue change. it is not Arts 100 as on poster. The venue is LS1E)

This initiative is in support of the G8/G20 Youth Summit Delegation who will be taking South Africa's voice to the G8/G20 Youth Summit in Washington DC, June 2012.

We have reserved tickets for media representatives. Please RSVP to claim these.

So far we having been running an online forum, leading up to the live event See online forum discussion HERE. We have also been getting young people involved in campaigning for the event by handing out flyers to their friends and fellow students. Have a look at the campaign flyer attached.

Our aim: To get young South Africans talking about and engaging in the development of our country. By creating awareness, working together, and advocating for these development issues, we can take steps forward in the future of our country.

Catch us on Jammie Plaza tomorrow (26th April 2012) in association with UNASA.

Our very own Junaid will be DJing and the breakfast’s show’s Mark Johnson will be keep the crowd entertained with his ever so lovely voice. If it’s raining, we’ll be in Molly Blackburn.
