UCT Radio was busy as ever when we partnered up with Siren Music and Production to bring the warmest event, smack bang in the middle of winter!
On the 23 June 2012, Mercury played host to the event known as “The Perfect Circle”. This was a first for Siren Music & Productions and judging from the great response and que down the road, the first of many! Evelyn Hart, Fox Comet and When Karma Sleeps were the scheduled acts and unquestionably took local music to towering echelons.
The angelic sounds of Evelyn Hart opened up the acoustic show to the cosiest of crowds. Maximum Respect has to be given to the coordinators of the whole set up; a feeling of warmth, friendly and definitely an ease to liaise was created. Hart was followed by Fox Comet whose lead singer, Rob, kept the engaging crowd laughing with his ginger ninja ways. The diversity of each group was something refreshing and although each act had an acoustic feel to it, they were miles apart in comparison. When Karma Sleeps was the closing performance and lead singer, Megan, gave that extra pinch of exuberance with her beautifully potent voice.
Overall the event was a smashing success. Maximum Respect to all involved and see you at the next “Perfect Circle”!
